I worked as the UX/UI Designer on this project to rework the entire interface. My duties included:

  • • Design and implement the game UX/UI.
  • • Worked collaboratively with the Creative Director, art and design teams to meet milestone requirements.
  • • Determined UX/UI flows, interaction feedback, audio and visual effect requirements to provide rich player experiences.
  • • Produced digital art for icons, consumables and relic art for over 100+ items.
  • • C# programming where required.

Design for Dual Universe

Dual Universe, a product of Novaquark, is a spacefaring MMO centered on social systems, market simulation, building, and complex physics. These aspects all combine to produce a truly unique experience that blends the creativity of Minecraft with the depth of Eve Online.

Level Design on this project was largely centered around the First-Time user experience, with a focus on tutorials and gameplay guidance. Careful planning, thorough documentation and rapid prototyping were all necessary to ensure the highest quality of added content. Puzzles and events were a part of this as well.
